Jason Maust was born and raised in Morgantown, WV.  After attending James Madison University, he moved to Richmond, VA where he now works as an IT Project Manager for one of the nation's most prominent law firms.  A rabid football fan, you can find him most fall Saturdays and Sundays cheering on the Mountaineers and Tennessee Titans.

Jason Maust is a Project Manager who has specialized in large, enterprise technology focused projects in various industries for nearly 15 years.  Currently at McGuireWoods LLP, a global, industry-leading law firm, he serves as Project Manager for a variety of technology projects spanning multiple disciplines and practice areas.  Since joining the firm in 2015, many of his projects focus on critical applications, such as the Document Management System and various advanced security platforms.  Other projects include the Agile implementation of ServiceNow as the firm’s service management platform and working on compliance efforts such as GDPR. 

Prior to McGuireWoods, Jason was a Project Manager and Global Infrastructure Lead at Markel Corporation and, prior to its acquisition by Markel, Alterra Capital Services USA, LLC.  After joining Markel/Alterra, an international Insurance/Reinsurance company, in 2011, his primary duties include executing projects focused on a variety of applications and infrastructure initiatives as well as maintaining vendor relationships.  Initiatives Jason has managed include strategic planning for the risk management software/hardware, upgrading vital, mission-critical systems, and development of a global disaster recovery plan.

Before Alterra, Jason spent 5 years as a Senior Project Manager at Packet360, a national network infrastructure and storage company specializing in Cisco network, phone, security, and wireless implementations for medium-to-large businesses.  These projects ranged from small, single office installations to upgrading the entire IP-based infrastructure for multi-hospital clients.  Jason was awarded Most Outstanding Performer for the 1st Quarter of 2009.  Prior to that, he served in various technology roles managing a suite of applications for United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg.

Jason graduated from James Madison University with a degree in Business Marketing in 2001.  Currently living in Richmond, VA, he is a member of the James Madison University Technology Alumni Group and the Project Management Institute.  In 2015, Jason became a Certified Scrum Master.
