Week 1 NFL Predictions

Minnesota Vikings at New Orleans Saints:

If this game was later in the year, give me the Vikings since they know EXACTLY what the Saints game plan is.  But with Favre still out of sorts, I can't pick the Vikings.  Winner: Saints

Cleveland Browns at Tampa Bay Buccaneers:

The real loser is anyone who watches this match up.  Winner:  Buccaneers

Miami Dolphins at Buffalo Bills:

Henne probably won't even need to pass the ball.  Spiller will be good, but nothing can save them this season.  Winner:  Dolphins

Cincinnati Bengals at New England Patriots:

I really like the Bengals defense going into this season but I don't trust Palmer or his wide outs.  Winner: Patriots

Denver Broncos at Jacksonville Jaguars:

Yeeshh, someone turn on the Browns/Bucs game for me.  Not sure if Devner can stop MJD, but I do like Kyle Orton a lot, so as long as Tebow doesn't play...  Winner:  Broncos

Carolina Panthers at New York Giants:

Not a fan of either here, especially the Giants against the run, but I will give them home field advantage.  Winner: Giants

Detroit Lions at Chicago Bears:

I really don't like Jay Cutler or the Bears offense/defense/special teams/coaching staff/concessions people, so I will take the upset.  Winner:  Lions

Atlanta Falcons at Pittsburgh Steelers:

This is a tough one to call no matter how you slice it.  But, I think and AFC team at home is always the "safe" pick, especially when they will lose to the Titans the following week.  Winner: Steelers

Oakland Raiders at Tennessee Titans:

This one is actually closer than you would assume since the Raiders have given the Titans fits for the past 10 years or so.  But, Fisher needs to start fast, VY is ready, and the Raiders dismal wide receivers help Tennessee's dismal secondary.  Winner: Titans

Indianapolis Colts at Houston Texans:

The Colts usually don't lose until November or so...  Winner: Colts

Arizona Cardinals at St. Louis Rams

I really don't like Derek Anderson (yeah yeah, I know, just like Jay Cutler) but it will take awhile for Bradford to get his groove back.  Give me the Bucann...wait... Winner:  Cardinals

San Francisco 49ers at Seattle Seahawks:

Carroll will feel the wrath for cutting WVU favorite Owen Schmitt.  Winner: 49ers

Green Bay Packers at Philadelphia Eagles:

I am super high on the Packers and super low on Kolb.  Winner: Packers

Dallas Cowboys at Washington Redskins:

Should be a face stomping good time.  Dallas limps through this one.  Winner: Dallas

Baltimore Ravens at New York Jets:

Battle of my least favorite team and the most annoying team in football.  I don't like either QBs, so I give the Ravens the win via the run game.  Winner:  ughhh...Ravens

San Diego Chargers at Kansas City Chiefs:

San Diego...SUPERCHARGERS.  Oh yeah, Kansas City is terrible.  Winner: Chargers
