A Madden Glitch of My Very Own

In playing Madden last night, something a bit odd happened...

On a 3rd-and-long play in the first quarter, Mariota was lined up in the shotgun awaiting the snap.  After snapping, Center Ben Jones appears to throw the ball between his legs FORWARD over his head 30 to 40 yards downfield.  The game promptly rules this a Mariota fumble and the Bears recover.  Huh???
